Frequently Asked Questions
How does in-home training work?
If you have a home or condo gym, I will travel to your location and guide you through a fitness program based on your needs and goals.
What areas do you travel to?
I train in various cities throughout Metro Vancouver. I try and organize my daily schedule based on location as this limits excess travel and keeps costs down for all my clients.
What if I don’t have a lot of equipment?
That’s completely fine! Even with limited equipment, I can still create exercises that are effective and challenging. Small modifications can make a big difference.
I want to hire a personal trainer, but I don’t know where to begin. Any advice?
Starting a fitness program can be intimidating, especially for beginners. I’m here to guide you through the entire process and make it as comfortable as possible. I offer free a consultation prior to starting a program where I hope to answer all of your questions.
What is discussed during the consultation?
During the consultation, we will discuss your goals, fitness habits, experience, and address any questions or concerns you may have. My primary goal of the consultation is to gather information that will allow me to create a program specifically for you. I will talk a little about myself and my training methods, which gives you a good opportunity to see if my style matches what you are looking for in a trainer.
Where does the consultation take place?
The consultation can be done over the phone or in-person.
Can you train me at my commercial gym or community centre?
Unfortunately, most gyms do not allow outside trainers to work at their facilities. They usually have in-house trainers and personal training packages they try and sell to members.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule a session?
I understand that life happens. Please try to give me at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling to avoid any fees.
Do you offer virtual training options?
While I prefer to teach in-person, I do offer Online Coaching.
What are your qualifications?
I am a Registered Fitness Leader, certified by the BC Recreation and Parks Association (BCRPA). My specialties are Fitness Theory, Weight Training, and Personal Training, with an advanced certification in Older Adult training for those age 45+
